Horrible3 customer service and vwery very very rude lady who works there. There is only one emplpoyee working at that shop and she said she only cuts hair for her friends and only by appointment.

I have been to the shop in the McKnight Seibert shopping center in Pittsburgh, PA three Sundays in a row now. First Day I went in at 2:30 on a Sunday and the lady there said she was closing.

Couldn't help me. The second time I came on a Sunday at 2:00 and same story. She was closing. Today I go in at 2:00 and there are customers in there, and she says I only cut hair for my friends and only by appointment.

None of that was on the door or windows anywhere. Sign says Walk-ins welcome and open til 3:00 on Sundays. Additionally, the lady who works there (there is only one employee) is the rudest person I have ever met. I work with the public in a much more stressful job than hers and I would be fired on the spot if I was as rude to my clients as this person was.

I used to like BoRics until I encountered this rude employee and now finding out if you are not her friend, you are not getting your hair cut. I work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, and Sunday is the only time I can get my hair cut.

Thanks for nothing BoRics. I am going to send a letter to the BBB with this information, so hopefully you can get someone good and reliable and pleasant employees to operate the BoRics on McKnight Road.

I made two appointments for my daughter a half hour apart for BoRics in Fenton, MI. Ages 3 and 5 years old I checked in via online in advance due to new Covid protocol. I immediately received a call from the salon informing me they were cancelling the later appointment because they needed an hour in between appointments. This allows them to sanitize the area as they had only 1 stylist. While I appreciate this in response to recent cleanliness requirements, can we please use common sense? As was explained, you would be having the same stylist cut the hair of a brother and sister. They would be sitting together and waiting and breathing on each other while the stylists sanitized the same area so the other one could then receive a hair cut for a half hour in between. While this makes total sense for strangers, the same logic does not apply here. These practices are not family friendly nor convenient for a mother with multiple children. To be asked to sit for 2 hours to get 2 simple haircuts for 2 young children is ridiculous. What would be expected? Leave 1 in car or 1 in the salon alone or make appointments separate days while I got a babysitter for the other? I know we are all adjusting to new norms, but we still need common sense too.

I went into today to get a hair cut and there was a sign due to covid- 19 OSHA rules will be $4.99 charge. Sorry Borics but u need to follow this OSHA guide lines before the virus being in this profession. So all you really needed is a bottle of hand sanitizer on the counter. BEEN COMING HERE FOR 15 YEARS JUST TO MANY HAIR CUT PLACES AROUND SEE YA

I had a coupon given to be by the Manager for a free hair cut due to the previous haircut no being even. The Manager who signed it quit so they would not honor my coupon.

Do they care about you as a customer? NO! Last time didnt get what I asked for but decided to give them another chance.

When I arrived, I was treated badly. No one greeted me by name. I never found out my hair-colorists name until way later on. I told them how I want my hair brown-lowlited, in between my natural silver hair. After the application of the $20 toner (!!! $$ !!!), my hair was NOT highlited, but monochromatic, all one color. I was in Shock, and could not find any high-lites in my hair, only an all-over brown color. They covered up my natural silver hair! :( They blamed ME for my hair not being highlited! I came back, crying. They were mean to me, and blamed me. They forced me to pay for another highlighting treatment. I left there looking like a Barbie. I am 75% satisfied with my hair, and I am glad it will all grow out eventually! I will NEVER go back there!

Not greeted by name ? So what ?

Perhaps "Your Majesty" or "Your Grace" would do. Inform me : is there some posted company policy or contractual obligation for which you have paid that all customers must be greeted by name ? How often had you patronized the place before ? Does someone know you ?

A crummy hairdo is one thing but you're way off the rails with the level of offense about the name. Maybe if you were a hideous geek with 3 eyes and no teeth they'd remember.

Why make an appointment?

July 7th 2018. Took a client to get their hair done. Arrived 10 min early at 2:50 pm for her 3:00 pm appointment and watched stylists continue to take care of walkin customers before honoring her appointment. Besides the unfriendly greeting I couldnt help but wonder if this was because my client is in a wheelchair and they just didnt want to deal with her. Very unhappy and will be scheduling her next hair appointment elsewhere. Angry

Poor Service

I was a customer of local Borics for years. (Goshen/Elkhart Market Center) I liked the fact that I did not need to make a reservation. Sometimes I stopped in and the wait was too long so I would stop back another day. Over time this changed to where it seemed like every time i stopped in the wait was too long so I started going somewhere else. After a few haircuts I stopped back in to Borics and got a haircut. Made the comment to the stylist that it was getting pretty difficult to walk in. Was told to call ahead and put my name in. Last week called ahead and was told it would be late afternoon before they could get to me so I passed. Called next day and was told it would be 1:30 before they could get to me which worked so put my name in. Got to the store at 1:25 and one person was there working on another customer. It would be 5 - 10 minutes, then changed that to 15 minutes and that the other stylist would be back soon. Waited about 15 minutes when the second stylist returned. Second stylist (he was the one who answered the phone and told me 1:30) came back, did not say a word to me and proceeded to the back of the shop to eat his lunch. After about a 20 minute total wait (about 1:45) I left. No one said anything to me while I was waiting, no apology for the extended wait. Terrible customer service. An FYI for Borics - while I was waiting another person came in asking for a haircut and when he was told it would be at least 45 minutes he left. Must be nice to be doing so well you don't mind turning away business and making commitments to customers that you don't keep. Won't be back. I am sure the efficiency ratio

I went to the Mattoon,IL Borics for myself and husband to get haircuts. I brought up a news item and was told that it made the employees uncomfortable.

The tattooed girl doing my hair quit cutting and said I needed to leave. There are certain things you cannot discuss at borics or you will be asked to leave, No rules are posted, you just have to learn at your own risk. When I went to another stylist she was appalled at what had been done to my hair and laughed when I told her who had done it. And by the way the news subject was NOT tattooss even though that cannot be discussed.

The director has tattoos and won't be insulted. I only know because she told me.
